Weaving
For me, improvisation is a form of weaving. Once a sound appears, I listen, respond, and attach another sound to what is already there. Threads become entangled, leave spaces, form structures, and loosen again.
Sound, language, images, memory and encounters can all become threads connecting us to the world. These five September pieces approach weaving as an ongoing action: connecting sound, tradition and the present, rather than making a finished fabric.
Five independent pieces, numbered 01–05.

A live improvised sound performance
An improvised sound performance inspired by water as a source of memory, movement, and listening. Through evolving textures of sound, silence, and resonance, the performance invites the audience to experience water as a living presence in constant transformation.

An exploration of space, resonance and sound.
A live improvisation centred on Qerter (Sherter). Moving away from familiar melodies and techniques, Anuar listens to the instrument itself: one sound leads to another, and each choice opens a new direction.
The pieces emerged during the performance. Their titles were added afterwards, to remember the places through which the sounds had travelled.

Month of the Cuckoo
In Kökek ayı, I approach spring as something gradually heard and felt: a first distant call, wind opening the space, and earth that has not fully awakened. The title becomes a way of listening to seasonal change.
Three connected pieces move from the first emergence of sound, through the flow of space, to the slow presence of the ground. Rather than describing a fixed spring landscape, the music explores how the season is experienced.

Water, unrest, wind and stone.
Tolqyn / Waves brings together three works drawn from live performances and improvisations from 2023 and 2024.
Moving between electric guitar and traditional Kazakh wind instruments, the album explores sound as a space where landscape, memory, movement, and cultural traces intersect.
Tolqyn / Waves begins with the fluidity and continuous movement of water; Alañ / Unrest enters a more tense and unstable space; Jel men Tas / Wind and Rock turns toward wind, stone, petroglyphs, and the landscape of the Central Eurasian steppe.
